The R650 access point (AP) with the latest Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax) technology delivers increased capacity, improved coverage, and performance in dense environments. The R650 is our mid-range dual-band, dual-concurrent AP, supporting six spatial streams (4x4:4 at 5 GHz, 2x2:2 at 2.4 GHz). The R650 supports peak data rates of up to 2974 Mbps and efficiently manages up to 512 client connections. Additionally, 2.5 GbE Ethernet ensures that backhaul isn't a bottleneck for fully utilizing available Wi-Fi capacity.

What does Unleashed mean

The Ruckus Unleashed system enables up to 128 Ruckus access points (in bridge mode) and 2048 clients to operate without a controller (ZoneDirector). One of the Unleashed access points acts as the controller and assumes all control tasks. If this access point fails, another Ruckus Unleashed access point seamlessly assumes management and control of the network.
