Visonic's PowerLink3 is the most comprehensive Internet-based solution for advanced home security monitoring and control. Basically, PowerLink3 offers a plug-and-play broadband solution for IP event reporting. By connecting up to 10 Next CAMs distributed throughout a building to be monitored, PowerLink3 can be expanded to an IP-based video verification solution, providing intelligent recording and fast event forwarding to security services.

IP-based event notifications

With more and more homeowners switching to VoIP communications, broadband has become the ideal method for sending alarm event notifications to security services free of charge.

Visonic's PowerLink3 Internet-based home monitoring and surveillance system includes built-in IP-based event reporting capabilities. By simply connecting the PowerLink3 system to a free slot on the home router, the alarm system is connected to the monitoring company's IP receiver - without the need to configure the system or router. This provides a true plug-and-play experience for both the security installer and the monitoring company.

In addition, PowerLink3 offers a fast monitoring mechanism that gives security companies the opportunity to enjoy commercial-grade line monitoring of all connected home security systems at zero cost.

Using PowerLink3 as an IP-based event reporting solution requires the implementation of Visonics PowerManage (IP management platform) as an IP receiver at the monitoring station.

Image alarm verification the right way

Because PowerLink3 is fully integrated into the PowerMaster security system, it has the ability to send images at the time of alarm based on motion detection. This significantly reduces costs for service providers and saves homeowners the hassle of false alarms.

The system allows security guards to receive alarm verification information from images within a few seconds from the time an alarm occurs, compared to the several minutes it takes with GPRS or PSTN-based alarm verification solutions. In addition, images recorded at the time of the alarm can be sent to the homeowner's email address or mobile number for immediate review and verification. When the security company calls, the homeowner already knows whether the person who raised the alarm is authorized to be there or if it is an intruder. This means that the police or a security officer will only be sent to the building if it is really necessary.

In addition to being able to provide a broadband event reporting solution, PowerLink3 is also a holistic service platform that enables service providers to offer their customers an advanced and enhanced Internet-based security and monitoring service.

Homeowners can log into their home security system through the Visonic2Go app or through a browser on a standard PC or mobile phone. Using the easy-to-use interface, they can: control their home security system, view compliant home devices, and view video recorded by Next CAM detectors at the time of an alarm.

PowerLink3 is offered with the Visonic PowerManage - IP management platform, which serves as an IP receiver for the monitoring station and as a complete service platform for end-user Internet services.

By integrating PowerManage, monitoring companies gain full control over the PowerLink3 service, including account and service management, notification and more. PowerLink3 also provides monitoring companies with the ability to maintain and configure the PowerMaster security system through Visonic PowerManage.
