The Dragino LDDS45 is a LoRaWAN distance sensor for Internet of Things solutions. It is used to measure the distance between the sensor and a flat object. The distance detection sensor is a module that uses ultrasonic technology for distance measurement, and temperature compensation is performed internally to improve the reliability of the data. The LDDS45 can be used in scenarios such as horizontal distance measurement, liquid level measurement, parking management system, object proximity and presence detection, intelligent garbage can management system, robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, sewerage, groundwater level monitoring, etc. It detects the distance between the measured object and the sensor and transmits the value to the LoRaWAN IoT Server via wireless.

The LoRa radio technology used in the LDDS45 allows the device to send data and reach extremely long ranges at low data rates. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication with high interference immunity while consuming minimal power. The LDDS45 is powered by an 8500 mA Li-SOCI2 battery, designed for long-term use of up to 10 years*. Each LDDS45 is preloaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registrations. These keys are registered with the local LoRaWAN server and the LDDS45 will automatically connect when there is network coverage after power-up.
