Softphone
A softphone or soft client is software (app) that allows you to make phone calls over the internet from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Unlike a CTI client, no additional hardware phones are required. Input can be via a keyboard or a user interface that mimics the dial pad of a telephone. Professional solutions also include features such as BLF, call transfer, speed dial, and phonebook integration.
