Wireless Local Area Network refers to a local radio network, which usually refers to a standard from the IEEE 802.11 family. The term Wi-Fi is also used synonymously for this narrower meaning, e.g. B. in the USA, Great Britain, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, France, Italy.
