Intrusion detection systems
Intrusion detection systems (IDS) are technical devices, now exclusively electronically operated, that serve to protect property and people. An intrusion detection system should
- Prevent burglaries, thefts, and robberies through deterrence,
- notify emergency services (police, security services, etc.) in case of emergency,
- minimize the operating time of thieves, bank robbers, etc.,
- alert the immediate surroundings and any involved or present persons,
- help reconstruct a burglary or robbery.
