requirements

In order to activate or deactivate Secvest or a sub-area, the following requirements must be met:

Activate and deactivate Secvest

We recommend that you only use the Secvest wireless alarm system if the installer or an administrator has given you detailed information about the general functionality or current configuration of the Secvest.

This particularly applies to:

  • the exit time and entry time in connection with motion detectors and opening detectors.
  • the behavior in the event of an alarm and any automatic external communication that may be triggered as a result (through NSL reporting , voice dialer , SMS sending, etc.).

Correct operation also prevents a self-triggered “false alarm” .

via local user interface and user code

This section describes how to activate and deactivate using the local user interface of the Secvest (= alarm control panel) and an individual user code .

“Quick” arming without a code , using the corresponding “closed lock” button, is not EN 50131 compliant. The corresponding “Quick arm” function is therefore deactivated at the factory .

info

To disarm or deactivate the Secvest using the local user interface, you always need an individual user code.

only a sub-area is configured

  • To activate , enter your 4-digit or 6-digit user code directly using the local user interface (or the number keys on the alarm panel).

This will cause the options “Done” and “Change” to appear on the display.

To “activate” the Secvest internally if necessary, you would have to select the “Change” option so that the “House” symbol appears.

  • Select “Done” to activate the Secvest.

Depending on the status of the system or configuration :

  • starts the exit time (= factory setting)
  • If necessary, you must first hide open zones or close the corresponding opening detectors
  • or the Secvest switches on immediately (if configured accordingly)
  • If the exit time starts: Leave the monitored object within the exit time .

Notice

If you do not leave the property within the exit time, you may trigger an alarm :

  • either by moving in a monitored room (motion detector)
  • or by opening a monitored door (opening detector).

After the exit time has elapsed, the Secvest is activated or armed.

The Secvest shows an activated sub-area on the display with a “closed lock” symbol.

You can find out how to query the status outside the property, e.g. using the Secvest app, here .

  • If the factory-activated entry time is not deactivated: Enter the monitored property and deactivate the Secvest within the entry time , e.g. using the local user interface by directly entering your user code .

info

For security reasons, we recommend that each user change the individual user code assigned by the installer or an administrator themselves , if they have not already done so.

several sub-areas are configured

  • To activate , enter your 4-digit or 6-digit user code directly using the local user interface (or the number keys on the alarm panel).

After entering the last digit, the display shows the options “Cancel” and “Change”.

  • Select Change .

This will cause the display to show the options “Done” and “Change”.

Variant A) activate individual sub-areas

  • Select Change .
  • Use the “arrow down” key (between the display and the number field) to navigate to the section you want to activate.

The marked area shows a white “open lock” symbol with a gray background.

  • Select Change .

This will cause a “closed lock” symbol to appear on the display below the “open lock” symbol.

  • If necessary: Repeat the previous steps to mark /change/activate additional sub-areas.
  • Select “Done” to activate the selected subsection(s).

Option B) Activate all sub-areas

  • Select Done .

The following applies to all variants: Depending on the status of the system or configuration :

  • starts the exit time (= factory setting)

  • the web interface
  • the Secvest app
  • of the Secvest Key radio cylinder
  • an additional door lock

The Secvest shows an activated section in the web interface with a “closed lock” symbol.

You can find out how to query the status outside the object if you are no longer in the home network here .

If the factory-activated entry time is not deactivated:

  • Enter the monitored object.
  • Deactivate the Secvest or the corresponding sub-area within the entry time, e.g. using the web interface by marking the corresponding sub-area and clicking on the "Open lock" symbol in the top right.

via Secvest wireless control unit

You can find out how to arm and disarm using the Secvest wireless control unit here .

1.4 via Secvest proximity key

The reading area is located at the level of the ABUS logo .
It is not necessary to touch the alarm control panel or the radio control unit with the key.

After the exit time has elapsed, the Secvest or the corresponding sub-areas are activated or armed.

The Secvest shows an activated sub-area on the display with a “closed lock” symbol.

You can find out how to query the status outside the property, e.g. using the Secvest app, here .

  • If the factory-activated entry time is not deactivated: Enter the monitored property and deactivate the Secvest or the corresponding sub-area within the entry time , for example by presenting the proximity key to the reading unit (at the level of the ABUS logo).

via Secvest radio remote control

Users typically use the Secvest radio remote control (FUBE50010 to FUBE50015) to immediately arm the Secvest in a property that has already been abandoned.

The “FB immediately active” function for overriding an exit time is activated at the factory .

The installer may have activated the “Forced Active” function to automatically hide correspondingly configured and open zones when activated via remote control.

  • If necessary, check whether all zones are closed .
  • Leave the property if the remote control activates the Secvest immediately.
  • Outside the object: Press the “Closed Lock” button on the remote control.

This means the Secvest is immediately sharp.

Notice

If you have not left the property before activating it, you may trigger an alarm :

  • either by moving in a monitored room (motion detector)
  • or by opening a monitored door (opening detector).
  • If the factory-activated entry time is not deactivated: Enter the monitored property and deactivate the Secvest or the corresponding sub-area within the entry time , e.g. by pressing the "Open lock" button on the remote control .

via Secvest App

  • Open your Secvest app .
  • Tap on the menu item “Status” .
  • Depending on the configuration: If necessary, first select the subarea that you want to activate.

This will display the “Status” mask for the corresponding sub-area.

  • Either briefly tap the “Closed lock” symbol in the top right corner to activate only this part of the screen .
Or tap the "Closed lock" symbol for about 2 seconds . This will open a window that allows you to activate all sub-areas at the same time .
  • If necessary: Swipe the entire status mask to the left or right of the screen to switch between different sections .

info

If the Secvest is “internally activated”, you must first deactivate the alarm panel in order to be able to activate it directly afterwards.

Depending on the status of the system or configuration :

  • The Secvest immediately switches on,
  • You may first need to hide open zones or close the corresponding opening detectors.

After arming, a window appears in the app confirming the new status.

Notice

If you have not left the property before activating it, you may trigger an alarm :

  • either by moving in a monitored room (motion detector)
  • or by opening a monitored door (opening detector).

If the factory-activated entry time is not deactivated:

  • Enter the monitored object.
  • Deactivate the Secvest or the corresponding sub-area within the entry time by marking the corresponding sub-area and tapping the “Open lock” symbol at the top right.

by telephone

To fully operate the Secvest by telephone, as described in the operating instructions , the alarm control panel must be configured accordingly (functions “incoming call” , “call acceptance”, “outgoing call”, etc.) and certain requirements must be observed.

info

Please note for SIP/VoIP telephony : IP technology is generally not always reliable when it comes to transmitting the corresponding key commands/tones perfectly.

Depending on how often the command or signal is automatically converted in the telephone network on the way between the call receiver and the alarm center, it is possible that the key command(s) do not reach the Secvest (in full).

  • If the correct configuration and all requirements are met: Dial the telephone number of Secvest or the local connection.

Depending on the configuration of the “Incoming call” function, it will ring at least 3 times or up to 15 times until the Secvest answers the call.

As soon as the Secvest has accepted the call you will hear a triple beep.

  • Enter your user code using the phone keypad.

This will cause the phone to beep twice.

Now the Secvest is ready to accept commands and execute the corresponding actions, e.g.:

  • Deactivate system >> Key combination #0*0
  • Activate system >> #0*1
  • Activate system internally >> #0*2

You can find out how to operate the Secvest with additional commands via telephone in the operating instructions .

via wAppLoxx cylinder

You can find out how to operate the wAppLoxx cylinder , which is connected to the Secvest via wAppLoxx Control, in the operating instructions .

via Secvest Key radio cylinder

The actual reaction to operating the Secvest Key radio cylinder depends on its individual configuration .

  • Press the button on the knob .

This causes the radio cylinder to emit a single signal tone.

  • Lock the door from the outside within 30 seconds of pressing the button on the knob.

This will arm the Secvest.

The radio cylinder will notify you of successful activation with a double signal tone.

The radio cylinder provides:

  • a long single beep if you have exceeded 30 seconds.
  • an 8-fold signal tone if it has not received any status information from the alarm center or if the Secvest has not activated (e.g. due to an open zone).
  • To deactivate the Secvest: Unlock the door .

The radio cylinder immediately transmits the deactivation signal to the alarm center.

The radio cylinder will notify you of successful deactivation with a long single signal tone.

via Secvest wireless door lock

  • Lock the door from the outside by turning the key two full turns (= “total locking”).

This will arm the Secvest.

The additional door lock will notify you of successful activation with a double signal tone.

The additional door lock provides:

  • a long single beep if you have exceeded 30 seconds.
  • an 8-fold signal tone if it has not received any status information from the alarm center or if the Secvest has not activated (e.g. due to an open zone).
  • To deactivate the Secvest: Always unlock the additional door lock first and then the door cylinder.

Notice

Opening the door when the additional door lock is completely locked is detected as a break-in attempt and triggers an alarm.

The additional door lock will notify you of successful deactivation with a long single signal tone.

info

An attempted break-in will trigger an alarm even if the alarm control panel is not activated.

via Secvest wireless key switch

The actual reaction to operating the Secvest wireless key switch depends on its individual configuration.

  • Turn the key to the right until it stops.

This causes the red LED to flash once and the Secvest to switch on.

The key switch will notify you of successful activation by emitting a double confirmation tone and by the red LED lighting up for 6 seconds.

The key switch gives:

  • an 8-fold signal tone if it has not received any status information from the alarm center or if the Secvest has not activated (e.g. due to an open zone).
  • To deactivate the Secvest , turn the key all the way to the left .

This causes the green LED to flash once and the Secvest to disarm.

The key switch will notify you of successful deactivation with a single beep and the green LED lighting up for 6 seconds.
