RAK Wireless WisBlock RS485 Interface Module

The RAK5802 is a WisBlock interface that extends the WisBlock system with an industrial RS485 data transmission interface. A ready-to-use SW library and tutorial make it easy to connect any sensor that uses the RS485 interface.

The RAK5802 supports an RS485 interface and has a battery and 3.3V power output to power sensors. In addition, an I2C interface connector is available on the crimp terminal.

In combination with the RAK4631 WisBlock Core, the RAK5802 provides the solution for interfacing with industrial sensors and actuators that support the RS485 interface. This interface is the bridge between such sensors and LoRaWan® communication, LoRa® point-to-point connections or BLE.

The RAK5802 is ideal for battery-powered applications due to its low power consumption. In addition, the WisBlock system allows the module to be switched off completely to further reduce system power consumption.
