U&Z Private CX2182 double knob cylinder / outside read only / 35/60 indoor

The CX2182 is used as a profile cylinder with a freely rotating electronic knob on both sides. Release is achieved on both sides by electronic authorization. The evaluation electronics and mechatronics, along with the batteries, are located in the electronic knob on the protected inside. The small outer knob contains only the reading electronics, including an antenna with visual and acoustic signaling, but no power supply or coupling mechanism.

By mounting the CX2182 using a Europrofile cylinder, conventional locks for the DIN Europrofile can be used, eliminating the need for complex installation. This makes the double-knob cylinder cost-effective for both new buildings and existing properties.

Version: IP55 for interior and building doors (The IP66 version is only required if the electronics side is outside.)

The CX2182 is especially suitable for tubular frame doors, as it features a small knob (44 x 31 mm) on one side, allowing sufficient clearance to open the door even with small backsets. Because the cylinder is available with electronic authorization for both sides, the small knob can always be used on the side of the frame door not suitable for large knobs. However, the increased mechanical break-in security only applies to the attack side (small knob). Since the small knob only contains an antenna, this product is especially suitable for use on building entrance doors.
