Secvest wireless glass break detector

The acoustic wireless glass break detector (FUGB50000) is a detector from the Secvest series (or the Terxon with a wireless extension module). It reacts to the specific sound of breaking windows. Glass breakage is detected and reported to the alarm center.

The wireless glass break detector has a sensor that monitors the entire room. However, it should look directly at the window area to be monitored. The best position is about 2-3 meters from the glass front, the maximum distance is 6 meters. Depending on the noise in the immediate vicinity and the window surroundings (curtains, flowers, interior shutters, burglar-resistant glass, etc.), the detection range of the detector can also be reduced. The acoustic wireless glass break detector reacts to the sound frequency that is created when glass clinks (low and high frequency sound components). This happens in two stages:

• a steep increase in amplitude during glass breakage
• a weakened amplitude, triggered by the impact of the falling glass shards.

First the glass breaks, then the shards hit: the acoustic wireless glass break detector only triggers an alarm if these criteria are met. This prevents false alarms.
